The American chain HBO has just formalized the construction of a brand new TV series which will adapt the franchise The Last of Us to the small screen. Better still, the series will be overseen by the creator of Chernobyl. Craig Mazin, to whom we owe the striking recreation of the events around the worst nuclear accident in history, has already started his collaboration with Neil Druckmann, even if the latter is still focused on TLOU Part II as we can read it in the tweet below.
The duo will be supported by other big names like Carolyn Strauss (Game of Thrones, The Wire, The Sopranos) or Evan Wells who is none other than the president of Naughty Dog. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the HBO series will cover the events of the original game, knowing that the possibility of including elements that will be part of The Last of Us Part II is not ruled out.
Ellie and Joel are heading to HBO! But first … we got a little game to finish! https://t.co/eMIy5gmUiwNeil Druckmann (@Neil_Druckmann) March 5, 2020
